Introducing the Microsoft Surface Cloud
The Surface Cloud’s core unit is a mobile phone that runs Windows 10x. It will be Microsoft’s key product to enter back into the mobile phone market. Its competitive advantage will be its ability to connect to Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure directly, allowing for powerful computing on the go.
Immersive Infinity Display
The Surface Cloud will come with a 4k OLED display panel from edge to edge, allowing for a distraction free, immersive display experience.
Hidden Front Camera
To achieve an immersive display experience, the Surface Cloud will have a hidden front facing camera that only reveals itself when it’s utilized for photography, or logging in with Microsoft Hello.
Transition Glass Camera
As mobile photography transitions from hardware to software based performance, there will be no need for a camera bump. The Surface Cloud’s camera will be hidden behind electronic glass.
Balancing between Work and Play
The Surface Cloud will be able to help users stay focused while they are working simply by sliding a switch. The power button is designed to slide the user interface between play-mode and work-mode.
During work-mode, the user interface will block out all non-work related notifications and apps, preventing them from getting distracted.
Surface Cast
The Surface Cast is a companion device that transforms any display into a Personal Computer. Simply by connecting it with the Surface Cloud, users will be able to have a connect with their own Virtual Computer through the internet wherever they are whether at work or at home.
Surface Cloud Keyboard
To create a streamlined Virtual Computing experience, a new type of peripheral is designed to allow users to feel directly connected. Connected to the Surface Cloud Phone via bluetooth, the Surface Cloud Keyboard will be send user inputs to their Virtual Computer with little to no latency.
Sleek and Minimal Form Language
Following Microsoft’s Surface lineup, the Surface Cloud Keyboard stays true to its function through it minimal form with a cover that keeps itself clean when not in used, and displays a wide immersive trackpad when in use.
Pen Storage
There is a hidden compartment behind the keyboard that slides out, revealing the Surface Slim Pen.
Surface Cloud Dock
The pen storage also doubles as a dock where the Surface Cloud can sit, giving users a second touch display for quick access to apps and shortcut controls.
Wacom Capable Track pad
Partnering with Wacom technology, the trackpad becomes a large drawing pad allowing users to create beautiful art or just to make simple annotations.
Versatile Usage
All together, the Surface Cloud ecosystem will allow any type of users a have access to a virtual computer that fits their own personal needs. Thus saving them a high up-front cost from the traditional personal computer business models.
